These 12 foods account for more than half of the total pesticide exposure. They should be avoided unless they are organic. Peel all non-organic fruit and remove the outer leaves of leafy vegetables such as lettuce and cabbage. Washing produce with plain water can remove from 25-50% of pesticide residue.
